Experience intense action in 2D

Stick RPG 2: Director’s Cut is a paid action game that uses the iconic stickman animation style. Developed by XGen Studio, this game lets you do a wide range of activities as you explore a new city and uncover its dark secrets.

Despite its stickman animation style, Stick RPG 2: Director’s Cut feels like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas or Postal 2 in two dimensions. Aside from completing quests, you can spend your time pursuing a career that will give you unique advantages or spend the rest of your time betting and playing any of its various minigames.

Be the last stickman standing

In Stick RPG 2: Director’s Cut, you play as a stickman sent into a bizarre and unfamiliar city. You’re free to work, study, fight, train, invest, and basically do anything to build up your Stats and your Net Worth. However, this is not just an urban-themed game as there are mysterious trans-dimensional artifacts to hunt and collect, adding fantasy elements to the game and making it more exciting.

Also, its career system adds to the addictive aspect of the game. You can live a simple life as a lumberjack or a university professor. On the other hand, you can wield the mysterious powers and become a Light Knight or a Dark Lord. Either way, this career system is made more varied by its wide range of weapons, which has weapons like railguns and laser swords into its arsenal.

With its premise and graphics, it’s more of a nostalgic trip for most players at this point since it's reminiscent of the time of Flash games flooding the internet. It’s also worth noting that despite its variety, overall it has a little amount of content compared to other games in this price range and it has a short playthrough, which you can finish in a couple of hours.

A casual game

Stick RPG 2: Director’s Cut is a fun casual game, employing the nostalgic stickman style to deliver a far-reaching RPG that combines urban and fantasy elements. The flexibility that comes with the unusually simple stickman character–turning them into various job classes or equipping them with different weapons–is what makes this game addictive and enjoyable. However, the problem is that while it’s enjoyable, it also has a short playthrough.

PROS

  • Has a diverse career system
  • Uses the nostalgic stickman design style
